Regency Mill Services, Inc. was founded ten years ago by three leaders in the feed mill industry: Clay Gerber, Ryan Gerber, and Jeremy Schumacher. Each brought with them years of industry experience, each focused on bringing efficiencies and increased value within their area of expertise.
Today, Regency has presence on the world stage as a leader in feed mill construction, steam flaking, cracking, and precision machining. Owners Clay Gerber and Ryan Gerber’s experience in feed mill design and operations began by working in feed mills, and their passion to build a better mouse-trap led them to build a company which excels in every aspect of feed mill operations.
Clay Gerber is an industry expert in feed mill flake production and conveyance, storage, design and layout. Clay designs processes that produce an excellent flake with high starch availability and higher throughput than the competition, using the Regency Elite Steam Chest.
Ryan Gerber’s expertise lies in his detail orientation and subsequent ability to execute not only his own vision, but the visions of others. Ryan began machining in 1994 and has vast knowledge and experience in corrugation, roll service, and welding and fabrication.

Now Vice President of Technical Services at Regency Mill Services, Ryan Gerber spent much of his youth in Dalhart, Texas learning everything he could about building and repair. He learned to weld, drive a tractor, rebuild gear boxes, and help his dad with daily repairs around the farm. This fascination with machinery led him to work in the cattle feed yard equipment manufacturing industry shortly after high school graduation. Twelve years later he moved to Lubbock to continue learning about CNC machines and production work. His knowledge of production, component manufacture for various industries, as well as experimental machining led Ryan to create a patented feed mill roll corrugation technology which was the impetus for the start-up of Regency Mill Services. Ryan designed, built, and implemented this technology at Regency Mill Services. This technology is known in the industry as providing feed mill flaker rolls with no break-in time as well as yielding higher nutritive value in the resulting flakes.
Ryan actively participates in the Amarillo College Leadership Council for Machining and Welding, not only encouraging those with an aptitude for machining to continue their course of study, but also developing connections within the education system and other business leaders to further the development of skilled trades in the area.
Ryan is married to Chandra and is passionate about his family. He continues his life-long interest in machining by bringing modern technology to old processes and finding ways to introduce efficiencies into systems.
